With all this talk of dieting and exercise, eating this and not eating that, I have to wonder, is it really worth it?...It seems with all the recent researches done on food types that no matter what we eat..everything seems unhealthy. Im very proud of my husband who has struggled with his weight for years. He has now finally come to realize that eating healthy is not about dieting but practising healthy habits that eventually creates a healthy lifestyle. Lets face it, diets makes us so miserable. We hardly stick through them to see the results and when we do..its very hard to maintain it. I say we ditch all those diets and tips and researches, not that knowledge isnt good, and live in moderation. This way we eat a little of everything and enjoy it at the same time. Eat the things that are or seem natually healthy like fruits and veggies. Steam instead of fry...and if u not allergic to wheat choose that over white flour. But every now and then treat yourself..have a piece of sweet and enjoy it. I know I do. I strongly believe that its the consumption of too much of one thing that kills us. Now if you are 800lbs...thats a problem. You may definately need a weight loss boot camp. Anyways, my recipe for a fulfilling life is to eat what you want moderately....never overdo anything...exercise when u can....and that doesnt mean a strict regimen at the gym...simple walks in and around your neighbourhood (if its safe to do so...avoid getting mugged now), climbing the stairs and parking a little way from the entrance of wherever you may go is all good simple exercises that the body needs. Life should be like a cup of soup, simple, enjoyable and fulfilling!!!!
